SOC Analyst

About the role

Our client is seeking an intermediate‑level SOC Analyst to join a newly created, high‑performing security operations team. You will work from brand‑new offices in New Zealand, investigating alerts, supporting incident response, and helping to mature the SOC as the organisation grows.

Key responsibilities

• Lead investigation of security alerts and incidents.
• Coordinate and support incident response activities.
• Identify gaps and propose improvements in detection and response processes.
• Contribute to the development and refinement of playbooks.
• Support on‑call operations and maintain SOC readiness.

Required profile

• 5+ years of proven experience in a SOC environment.
• Strong incident investigation and response capability.
• Experience with SIEM, EDR, and cloud platforms.
• Clear communicator who works well across teams and adapts quickly.
