Senior Project Manager

About the role

This senior, business‑facing delivery role is with a well‑known South Island organisation that is accelerating its modernisation agenda. Based in Queenstown with an office in Wānaka, you will lead technology initiatives from concept through to live, embedded solutions that deliver real business value.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end delivery of greenfield implementations, migrations, upgrades and business change programmes.
• Shape project scope, clarify objectives, facilitate workshops and map current/future‑state processes.
• Develop detailed delivery plans, governance structures and success criteria.
• Manage budgeting, resourcing, risk, issues and dependencies throughout the lifecycle.
• Coordinate vendors and partners, oversee statements of work and ensure performance against commitments.
• Lead change activities to embed solutions and achieve lasting outcomes.

Required profile

• Proven track record delivering complex, enterprise‑scale technology programmes end‑to‑end.
• Ability to bring structure to ambiguity, set clear governance and align senior stakeholders.
• Strong experience in budgeting, milestone tracking and risk management.
• Confidence facilitating senior stakeholder workshops and steering groups.
• Capability to lead discovery work, ask incisive questions and translate business needs into clear documentation.
