Senior Personal Banker

About the role

As a Senior Personal Banker you will help customers achieve important financial milestones such as buying their first home or expanding their investment portfolio. The role focuses on providing trusted advice on lending, insurance and everyday banking while building lasting relationships within the Invercargill community.

Key responsibilities

• Advise customers on home loans, insurance products and investment options.
• Guide clients through the lending process, ensuring clear understanding of terms and conditions.
• Serve as the go‑to person in the branch for complex loan queries and home‑loan advice.
• Mentor and coach junior team members to develop their confidence and skills.
• Identify and attract new customers through local networking and referrals.

Required profile

• Strong communication skills with a natural ability to put customers at ease.
• Confidence discussing financial products in a clear, meaningful way.
• Experience in a lending role, preferably within personal banking.
• Commitment to helping customers achieve their financial goals.
• Organised, proactive and able to manage multiple tasks.

Required skills

• Experience in personal lending and home‑loan advisory.
• Knowledge of insurance and investment products.
