About the role
We are seeking a Senior Audit Manager to lead end‑to‑end audit engagements for our Auckland office. Reporting to Audit Partners, you will oversee planning, fieldwork and delivery while fostering a collaborative team environment.
Key responsibilities
- Lead audit engagements from planning through completion, ensuring timely, high‑quality delivery.
- Manage team workflow, deadlines and keep partners and stakeholders informed of progress.
- Coach and develop junior staff, providing constructive feedback and fostering a positive learning environment.
- Apply audit methodology and accounting standards across all engagements.
- Ensure compliance with ethics, independence and quality standards, mitigating risks appropriately.
- Identify audit and accounting issues early and propose practical solutions to partners and clients.
- Manage budgets and timelines, including cost analysis and client discussions.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, balancing requirements with audit deliverables.
- Contribute to technical capability uplift by leading training sessions and sharing knowledge.
Required profile
- 5+ years of audit experience within a professional services firm.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- CA or ACA qualification.
- Strong commercial acumen and ability to manage budgets and timelines.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
