Senior Management Accountant

About the role

AROA is seeking a Senior Management Accountant to partner with manufacturing, R&D and leadership teams. This high‑impact position will drive financial performance, provide cost visibility and support strategic decision‑making across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Lead manufacturing accounting and costing, manage BOMs, cost analysis and production variances.
• Own revenue and key customer financials, including transfer pricing, revenue share and demand forecasting.
• Drive FP&A activities – budgeting, forecasting and monthly management reporting.
• Partner with business units to deliver financial insights to manufacturing, R&D and senior leadership.
• Oversee R&D financials, track project spend, capitalisation and funding.
• Improve processes, controls, reporting automation and financial governance.
• Support statutory reporting and audit processes.

Required profile

• CA or CPA qualification.
• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing or commercial accounting environments.
• Strong understanding of NZ IFRS and financial reporting.
• Proven ability to translate data into commercial insights.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and business partnering skills.
• Proactive, adaptable and solutions‑focused mindset.
