Project Manager (Part time)

About the role

The role involves drafting and implementing effective project management and clinical operations for research projects, ensuring smooth execution of clinical research activities. It is a part‑time position reporting to senior management.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary liaison for study sponsors.
• Lead cross‑functional team leaders, third‑party vendors, and external partners.
• Manage contractual deliverables, milestone payments, and insurance qualifications.
• Control project scope, schedule, and costs to mitigate financial risk.
• Ensure compliance with company SOPs, policies, and local regulations (GCP, clinical trial operations).
• Oversee use of Tigermed systems such as CTMS and eTMF, escalating issues as needed.
• Participate in bid‑defense processes and provide training to project team members.
• Provide performance feedback to line managers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Medicine, Pharmacology, Biology or related field (college diploma acceptable with strong experience).
• Current GCP certification.
• Minimum 10 years industry experience, including at least 6 years of project management in Australia or New Zealand.
• Experience in CRO environments is preferred.
• Strong budgeting and business knowledge is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Experience using Clinical Trial Management Systems (CTMS).
• Familiarity with electronic Trial Master File systems (eTMF).
• Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) standards.
