Contractor Project Manager – Clinical Research

About the role

The Contractor Project Manager will lead the planning, execution, and monitoring of clinical research projects, ensuring smooth operations and compliance with sponsor requirements. This role bridges the sponsor, CRO, and cross‑functional teams to deliver projects on time, within scope, and on budget.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary liaison for study sponsors and manage sponsor relationships.
• Lead cross‑functional team leaders, third‑party vendors, and CRO partners.
• Oversee contractual deliverables, milestone payments, and insurance qualifications.
• Control project scope, schedule, and costs to mitigate financial risk.
• Ensure adherence to company SOPs, policies, and regulatory guidelines.
• Maintain compliance with Tigermed systems such as CTMS and eTMF, escalating issues as needed.
• Participate in bid defense processes and provide training to project team members.
• Deliver performance feedback to line managers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Medicine, Pharmacology, Biology or related field (college diploma acceptable with strong experience).
• Minimum 10 years of industry experience, including at least 6 years of AUS project management experience; CRO experience preferred.
• Current GCP certification.
• Strong knowledge of drug development processes, local regulations, and clinical trial operations.
• Excellent command of Microsoft Office.
• Proven project and time‑management capabilities.
