Procurement Category Advisor

About the role

As a Procurement Category Advisor you will shape sourcing strategy and strengthen supplier partnerships across multiple business units. You will work closely with senior leaders to deliver commercial value and ensure contracts are optimised for performance and cost.

Key responsibilities

• Own and deliver procurement activities for defined categories and business units.
• Develop and execute category strategies to maximise supplier performance and contract value.
• Partner with business owners and senior leaders to provide compliant, commercially‑sound advice.
• Lead end‑to‑end sourcing projects, from opportunity identification through negotiation and contract execution.
• Build strong relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Identify and deliver cost‑saving and efficiency opportunities.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and elevate procurement capability across the organisation.

Required profile

• 5+ years’ experience in strategic procurement and category management.
• Strong commercial acumen with a proven track record of delivering value.
• Experience in a centralised procurement or commercial environment.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast‑paced, deadline‑driven settings.
• Confidence working with senior stakeholders and navigating complex priorities.
• Proactive, solutions‑focused mindset with excellent influencing skills.
