People Advisor

About the role

As a People Advisor you will sit at the heart of the People Advisory Practice, providing practical HR advice and solutions to leaders across the organisation. You will manage a wide range of employee‑relations cases from investigation through to resolution while contributing to continuous improvement of People services.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert advice on employee relations, policy and change matters.
• Manage ER cases end‑to‑end, including investigations, misconduct and performance issues.
• Coach and support leaders to build confidence in handling people matters.
• Partner with offshore teams to ensure accurate and timely HR delivery.
• Identify risks, trends and opportunities to improve processes and outcomes.
• Support HR initiatives, projects and broader continuous‑improvement activities.

Required profile

• Pragmatic, people‑focused HR professional comfortable in a fast‑paced operational environment.
• Strong ability to build trusted relationships across a diverse workforce, including unions.
• Willingness to roll up sleeves on complex cases and step back to drive improvements.
• Clear communicator with commercial thinking and ownership of quality outcomes.

Required skills

• Generalist HR experience with a strong employee‑relations focus.
• Confidence managing investigations, misconduct and performance cases.
• Ability to coach and influence leaders at various levels.
• Experience in complex or unionised environments.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Continuous‑improvement mindset with attention to risk and detail.
