About the role

Iplex New Zealand is seeking a National Rural Manager to lead and grow its rural sales segment. Based in Auckland, the role combines strategic planning with hands‑on leadership to strengthen market presence across New Zealand’s agricultural sector.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead a team of four Territory Managers, setting targets and coaching performance.
  • Develop and execute a rural sales strategy aligned with business objectives and market insights.
  • Protect and grow market share, forecast demand, and drive new business development.
  • Oversee sales forecasting, budgeting, and reporting to meet revenue targets.
  • Provide technical expertise for farm surveying, design, and product selection.
  • Build strong customer relationships and deliver tailored value propositions.
  • Contribute to product mix, pricing, and channel strategy decisions.
  • Support project delivery and tender management to meet customer expectations.
  • Ensure consistent use of sales tools such as CRM, account planning, and call cycles.

Required profile

  • Proven experience in rural infrastructure (irrigation, water management, agricultural supply, drainage).
  • Strong commercial acumen and proactive leadership style.
  • Relevant qualification in commerce or business with a solid sales background.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing sales strategies.
  • Excellent team management and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Data‑driven decision‑making with a customer‑focused mindset.
