Maintenance Electrician – Airport Baggage Systems

About the role

Alstef Group is seeking a qualified Maintenance Electrician to join its Airport Services team at Auckland Airport. In this hands‑on position you will keep baggage handling and related automated systems running smoothly on a rotating 24/7 shift roster.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventative, corrective and emergency maintenance on airport equipment.
• Identify system faults, report or resolve them efficiently.
• Maintain accurate paper and electronic maintenance records.
• Comply with health, safety and aviation security regulations.
• Keep work areas clean and tools properly stored.
• Represent Alstef professionally with all stakeholders.

Required profile

• Registered Electrician with a current Electrical Trade qualification.
• Experience in electrical and/or mechanical maintenance, preferably on conveyor or similar systems, in an industrial environment.
• Familiarity with control systems and troubleshooting processes.
• Team player with strong initiative, time‑management and communication skills.
• Willingness to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
• Commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement.
