Lead React Native Engineer

About the role

Halter is building technology that lets farmers manage cattle and pasture more sustainably. As a Lead React Native Engineer you will own the mobile experience across iOS and Android, turning complex field requirements into a fast, reliable app that farmers love.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement core React Native features, including native modules and bridges where needed.
• Collaborate closely with product and design to make smart trade‑offs and ship high‑impact features quickly.
• Leverage AI tools such as Claude and Cursor to improve code quality and development speed.
• Optimize app performance from all angles and ensure smooth operation in offline, field‑condition scenarios.
• Develop resilient offline‑first flows and robust error handling for real‑world use.
• Evolve the mobile design system and UI patterns.
• Raise engineering standards through code reviews, pair programming, and mentorship.
