Hotel Manager – Leading Contemporary Hotel in Christchurch

About the role

The Hotel Manager will lead the day‑to‑day operations of ibis Christchurch, an Accor economy‑brand hotel located in the city centre. Reporting to the General Manager of Novotel Christchurch, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences, driving financial performance and fostering a high‑performing team.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all hotel departments to ensure operational excellence and compliance with brand standards.
• Manage guest satisfaction initiatives and resolve issues promptly.
• Control budgets, monitor financial results and implement commercial strategies to maximise revenue.
• Lead recruitment, training and development of staff, promoting a positive culture.
• Ensure health, safety and regulatory compliance across the property.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a supervisory or management role within a hotel environment.
• Strong commercial acumen and understanding of hotel operations.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Passion for guest experience and operational excellence.
• Experience with an international hotel brand is preferred.
