Hose Assembly Technician – Tauranga

About the role

The Hose Assembly Technician will join Motion’s Mount Maunganui facility in Tauranga, building and testing hose assemblies to customer specifications. This hands‑on role is ideal for mechanically curious individuals who enjoy working in an industrial environment.

Key responsibilities

• Build, weld and assemble hoses according to detailed specifications.
• Conduct functional testing of hose assemblies and maintain accurate testing records.
• Monitor job costings to ensure correct charging and meet customer expectations.
• Handle and lift components up to 20 kg safely.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the production team.

Required profile

• Physically fit and able to lift objects of at least 20 kg.
• Valid New Zealand driver’s licence.
• Good understanding of health and safety requirements in an industrial setting.
• Ability to work independently, use initiative and develop efficient handling methods.
• Team‑player attitude.
