Head of Operations – New Zealand

About the role

Rentokil Initial is seeking a senior operational leader to drive safety, service delivery and team performance across New Zealand. Reporting to the Managing Director, you will shape the operational strategy, manage the P&L and ensure compliance while fostering a high‑performing culture.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and embed a strong safety culture throughout the organisation.
• Proactively manage service delivery to meet contractual expectations and support client retention and growth.
• Develop, lead and mentor a first‑class technical, training and operational support team.
• Create and deliver the NZ operational plan in collaboration with Pacific and global teams.
• Oversee people management, operational metrics and financial performance.
• Drive operational efficiencies, productivity optimisation and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Business qualification (degree or diploma) or equivalent experience delivering scaled business.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety and a proven track record building a safety culture.
• Strong leadership capability with experience managing complex, multi‑location teams.
• Solid operational expertise in logistics, supply chain and scheduling systems.
• Hands‑on leadership style with coaching and development experience.
• Flexible, results‑oriented mindset able to adapt to change.
• Commercial acumen to manage budgets, costs and financial targets.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for building internal and external relationships.
