Graduate to Intermediate Electrical Engineer – Building Services

About the role

Join Beca’s Building Services Electrical team in Hamilton as a graduate to intermediate Electrical Engineer. You will work on a variety of building projects across New Zealand, Australia and the Asia‑Pacific, gaining hands‑on experience while being mentored by senior engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Support the design and delivery of electrical building services systems, including lighting, power and low‑voltage installations.
• Prepare calculations, drawings, reports and technical documentation to a high standard.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop integrated solutions for commercial, civic and infrastructure projects.
• Assist in project delivery from concept through to completion within a consulting environment.

Required profile

• Recent graduate or early‑career professional with a degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Strong interest in building services electrical design and a collaborative mindset.
• Clear communication skills and a willingness to learn and grow.
• Motivation to contribute to projects that deliver community and sustainability outcomes.
