Education Account Manager – New Zealand

About the role

ASUS is seeking an Education Account Manager to lead growth in New Zealand’s education market. Based in Auckland, you will work closely with resellers, schools, universities and other educational organisations to promote ASUS IT solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with key resellers and decision‑makers in educational institutions.
• Collaborate with the Education Business Manager, Marketing and Product teams to create targeted campaigns.
• Attend conferences and trade shows to showcase products and generate new leads.
• Deliver product demonstrations and presentations to prospects and customers.
• Manage the sales cycle from opportunity identification through to product delivery.
• Provide excellent customer service to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.
• Meet individual and team sales targets.
• Supply feedback to headquarters to improve partner data accuracy.
• Work with technical teams to design solutions that meet external requirements.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in the IT industry, preferably within the education sector.
• Teacher experience is a plus.
• Strong understanding of IT hardware.
• Ability to work independently and a solid network of contacts in the IT industry.
• Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
• New Zealand citizen or permanent resident with unlimited working rights.
