Corporate Finance Manager – M&A Advisory

About the role

PwC New Zealand is seeking a Manager to join its Corporate Finance (Deals) team in Auckland. The role offers hands‑on exposure to live buy‑side and sell‑side transactions, close access to Partners, and a clear pathway toward senior responsibility within a leading M&A advisory practice.

Key responsibilities

• Support buy‑side and sell‑side transactions, including analysis, due diligence, and execution activities.
• Build, review and own financial models and business valuations such as DCFs, trading and transaction comparables, and scenario analysis.
• Prepare client deliverables including information memoranda, investment papers, valuation reports, and board presentations.
• Analyse financial performance, growth drivers, risks and value creation opportunities to inform investment decisions and negotiation strategy.
• Manage transaction execution tasks such as data‑room administration and coordination with other advisors.
• Collaborate closely with Partners and Directors to deliver commercially robust, technically sound advice.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to junior team members.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Business Administration or a related discipline.
• 4+ years of experience in corporate finance, financial advisory or financial markets, preferably within a Big 4 or similar professional services firm.
• Demonstrated experience in financial modelling and valuations.
