Control Room Operator

About the role

The Control Room Operator will join the Safety and Security team to ensure the safety of people, venues and assets in Central Auckland. Working closely with the Shift Supervisor, you will monitor CCTV, access control and alarm systems on a 24/7 roster basis.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor CCTV, access control and alarm systems.
• Follow established security procedures and best practices.
• Respond calmly and effectively to incidents in a fast‑paced environment.
• Collaborate with the Shift Supervisor and wider security team.
• Work shift‑based roster covering all hours, including nights and weekends.

Required profile

• Highly motivated with strong observation and problem‑solving abilities.
• Understanding of security principles, confidentiality and ethical conduct.
• Reliable transport and ability to work shifts outside normal business hours.
• Right to work in New Zealand, two positive references, clear Ministry of Justice check, and pass drug and alcohol testing.

What we offer

• Salary range NZ$57,000 – NZ$78,000 per year (Band D) based on experience.
