About the role
We are seeking a detail‑oriented Care Home Administrator to join our team at Clutha Views Lifecare & Village in Balclutha. This fixed‑term, part‑time position (35 hours per week) provides maternity cover and offers the chance to make a meaningful difference to residents and their families.
Key responsibilities
- Greet visitors, residents, and families, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
- Answer phone calls and respond to enquiries promptly.
- Process new resident paperwork and manage onboarding documentation.
- Support recruitment activities and assist with staff onboarding.
- Handle invoicing, on‑charging processes, and general administrative tasks.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with sector standards and Treaty of Waitangi requirements.
Required profile
- Previous administration experience in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build positive relationships with residents, staff, and external stakeholders.
- Excellent time‑management and problem‑solving abilities.
- High level of computer literacy and quick learning of new systems.
- Understanding of Nga Paerewa sector standards and Treaty of Waitangi principles.
Required skills
- Proficiency with invoicing software or on‑charging processes.
- Advanced computer literacy (e.g., Microsoft Office suite).
