Tour/Coach Driver – Seasonal Tours in Christchurch

About the role

Tranzit Coachlines Southern is looking for professional, reliable Tour Drivers to join its seasonal team based in central Christchurch. The role runs from September to March and involves operating day tours and multi‑day tours (up to 14 days) across the South Island, showcasing its most spectacular destinations to international visitors.

Key responsibilities

• Operate a coach safely and in compliance with all traffic regulations.
• Transport passengers on scheduled tours, ensuring comfort and safety.
• Provide engaging commentary on attractions where applicable.
• Interact positively with customers throughout the journey.
• Travel extensively across the South Island, often staying overnight.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and report any issues.

Required profile

• Minimum Class 4 licence with Passenger (P) endorsement.
• Previous professional driving experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Positive, professional attitude and flexibility for overnight and multi‑day tours.
• Commentary skills are advantageous but not mandatory.
