Software Engineer

About the role

Join Seequent’s Leapfrog team as a Software Engineer and help build world‑leading desktop geological modelling software. You will work closely with product managers, designers and other engineers to deliver features that enable customers to make better decisions about the underground.

Key responsibilities

• Design and document improvements to UI, integrations, backend, core libraries and algorithms.
• Write clean, testable code in Python and C/C++.
• Support release cycles from planning to rollout (no on‑call duties).
• Debug issues and continuously improve product quality.
• Review peer code and enforce best practices.
• Understand customer problems and contribute to feasible solutions.
• Collaborate in a cross‑discipline team of six alongside a Product Manager and Designer.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proven ability to work effectively in a collaborative, agile environment.
