About the role
McCann NZ is seeking an enthusiastic Social Media Manager to join its Group Social team. You will work closely with account management and creative teams, driving both always‑on social initiatives and specific campaign projects from brief to final reporting.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and execute social strategies for client brands across platforms, including TikTok, Meta, and LinkedIn.
- Plan, purchase, and optimise paid social media placements using Meta Ads Manager, LinkedIn Campaign Manager and TikTok Ads Manager.
- Oversee the creation, scheduling and dispatch of social content and creative assets.
- Collaborate with media agencies, clients and internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and timely delivery.
- Provide strategic advice and insights, acting as a trusted advisor both internally and externally.
Required profile
- Minimum 2 + years experience in a social or digital environment.
- Passion for social trends, especially short‑form vertical video on TikTok.
- Strong understanding of social media as both advertising and PR discipline.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet quick turnaround times.
