Senior Social and Community Strategist

The Senior Social and Community Strategist will shape the brand’s presence across digital and social ecosystems in New Zealand. This high‑impact role blends strategic planning with hands‑on execution to drive audience growth, community engagement and measurable business impact.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and own the social media strategy for key platforms, including editorial calendars, publishing cadence and engagement optimisation.
• Manage and expand the company’s footprint in strategic online communities such as forums, Slack groups, Reddit channels and industry‑specific networks.
• Lead employee‑advocacy programmes by providing content resources, playbooks and engagement frameworks.
• Monitor social listening tools and community discussions to surface insights for marketing, product, sales and leadership.
• Collaborate with design, video, PR and content teams to produce platform‑native social content and campaigns.
• Build and oversee influencer, creator and partnership initiatives aligned with brand positioning.
• Support social communication during high‑visibility events, product launches or reputation‑critical moments.
• Analyse performance metrics and continuously refine strategies based on engagement quality, sentiment and business impact.

Required profile

• 8+ years of B2B social media, community management or digital brand strategy experience.
• Proven track record managing LinkedIn and other channels for enterprise SaaS or technology brands.
• Experience scaling employee‑advocacy programmes with measurable results.
• Deep understanding of online community dynamics across forums, Reddit, Slack and niche networks.
• Strong storytelling, writing and editorial skills.
