Senior Site Manager

About the role

Unispace is looking for a Senior Site Manager to lead the on‑site execution of high‑profile construction projects in Auckland. You will be responsible for delivering complex builds to the highest standards of safety, quality and schedule, while fostering a collaborative and inclusive site culture.

Key responsibilities

• Lead on‑site management of large‑scale construction projects, interpreting contracts, drawings and specifications.
• Develop and implement delivery strategies that optimise efficiency and effectiveness.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, landlords, tenants and agents, ensuring clear communication.
• Oversee subcontractor performance, ensuring compliance with quality and safety requirements.
• Provide leadership to Unispace teams across disciplines, regions and studios, applying the 80/20 methodology.
• Champion Unispace’s culture, values and behaviours in all site interactions.

Required profile

• Extensive experience managing complex construction sites from planning through handover.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage subcontractors.
• Strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Commitment to health, safety and quality standards.

Required skills

• Deep understanding of construction contracts, project scope, drawings and specifications.
• Ability to develop and execute advanced delivery strategies.
• Leadership in on‑site coordination and team collaboration.
