About the role
The Senior Project Co‑ordinator – Events will lead the planning and delivery of a programme of high‑impact events and online training for Amotai, a supplier‑diversity intermediary. This 12‑month fixed‑term role connects Māori and Pasifika suppliers with buyers, sponsors and community partners through well‑executed, inclusive events.
Key responsibilities
- Manage the full lifecycle of Amotai events and training programmes, from planning and resourcing to milestone reporting.
- Coordinate end‑to‑end logistics for in‑person events, webinars and workshops, including run‑sheets, venues, online platforms, catering, AV, accessibility, budgets and on‑day execution.
- Serve as the primary contact for Māori and Pasifika suppliers, buyers, sponsors and internal teams before, during and after each event.
- Support event content creation and impact storytelling, preparing speaker briefs, themes, feedback mechanisms and post‑event reports.
- Produce event communications such as invitations, registration pages, reminder emails, social media content and post‑event updates in collaboration with marketing.
- Maintain accurate CRM and event records, capture attendance data, leads and lessons learned to improve future programming.
Required profile
- Highly organised, relationship‑focused professional with strong project and event management experience.
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities, adapt quickly to changing plans and work under tight deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and proven capability to build trusted partnerships with Māori and Pasifika whānau, government, business and community stakeholders.
- Political awareness, empathy and a solution‑oriented mindset when working with communities facing inequity.
Required skills
- Proficiency with CRM systems for data management.
- Experience using online event registration and webinar platforms.
What we offer
- Competitive salary range of $89,000‑$96,000 NZD per year.
- 12‑month fixed‑term contract.
