Senior Platform Developer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Platform Developer to design, build, and maintain the backend services and internal platforms that power our next‑generation film production pipeline. You will work on containerised systems, databases, and AI‑enabled workflows that support modern, production‑focused development.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain robust backend services and internal platforms for the production pipeline.
• Design reliable, maintainable system interfaces and service integrations.
• Develop tooling using Java, Python, and PostgreSQL.
• Work with APIs, message‑driven architectures, and relational databases.
• Support containerised development and deployment workflows (Docker/Podman).
• Contribute to infrastructure that enables AI services and emerging AI‑driven workflows.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, architecture, and engineering teams on technical direction.
• Operate primarily in Linux environments with occasional Windows exposure.

Required profile

• 7+ years of software engineering experience with a strong backend focus.
• Proven ability to write clear, maintainable code and ensure system reliability.
• Experience building and supporting backend services or internal technical platforms.
• Active use of modern AI coding tools and interest in AI‑enabled systems.
• Comfortable working in small, collaborative teams with ownership of complex problems.
