Senior HR Business Partner

About the role

Pratt & Whitney, part of RTX, is seeking a Senior HR Business Partner for its Christchurch Engine Centre. This fixed‑term position (approximately 18 months) provides strategic and operational HR support while helping transform the HR operating model and enhance employee experience.

Key responsibilities

• Lead industrial and employment relations, including union engagement and workplace issue resolution.
• Drive talent management initiatives such as workforce planning, succession planning and employee development.
• Improve HR systems, analytics and processes to support data‑driven decision making.
• Partner with business leaders on change management, organisational development and continuous improvement projects.
• Support the rollout of the GTF Engine programme through proactive HR solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related discipline.
• Progressive HR experience with generalist expertise across talent acquisition, organisational development, industrial relations and compensation & benefits.
• Demonstrated experience in collective bargaining, interpreting collective agreements and handling investigations, dispute resolution and disciplinary processes.
• Background in a large, complex or unionised manufacturing environment is highly regarded.
• Experience working with HRIS/ERP systems, preferably Workday.
