Registered Nurse – General Practice (Full-time)

About the role

The Doctors Medical Centres are seeking a Registered Nurse to join their general practice team across three sites – Tauranga, Bureta and Welcome Bay. This permanent, full‑time role involves delivering high‑quality nursing care within a multidisciplinary primary‑care environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide advanced nursing care to patients in a community‑based setting.
• Collaborate with GPs, allied health professionals and practice leadership to improve community health outcomes.
• Deliver immunisations, smear tests and other preventative health services.
• Maintain accurate patient records and utilise practice management software.
• Support the team across all three locations, working flexible days Monday to Sunday.

Required profile

• Current New Zealand practising certificate.
• Prior experience in a medical centre is desirable.
• Alignment with the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi.
• Postgraduate nursing qualifications or specialisations (e.g., travel health, occupational health, prescribing) are highly desirable.
• NZ residency or a valid work permit.

Required skills

• Computer literacy for clinical documentation.
• Current CPR certification (preferred).
• Immunisation and smear‑taking certificates are advantageous.
