Reception Team Lead – Medical Centre

About the role

The Doctors Massey Medical is seeking a Reception Team Lead to oversee its front‑desk operations. This permanent, 32‑hour per week position offers the chance to lead a supportive reception team, ensure excellent patient service, and contribute to the centre’s ongoing technological upgrades.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day leadership and coaching to reception staff.
• Maintain high standards of patient interaction, handling feedback and complaints professionally.
• Assist with basic IT issues, including computers and printers.
• Coordinate internal and external relationships to support smooth clinic operations.
• Support the Medical Center Manager and senior management in implementing new technologies.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a team‑leader or supervisory role (advantageous).
• Extensive customer‑service experience in a busy in‑person or phone environment.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and a solutions‑focused attitude.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with patients and colleagues.
• Highly organised, detail‑oriented and able to multitask effectively.

Required skills

• Proficiency with a wide variety of digital communication platforms.
• IT troubleshooting for standard office equipment (computers, printers).
• Familiarity with Medtech Evolution or similar healthcare technology (desirable).
