Project Manager – Digital Transformation (Wellington)

About the role

OSF Digital is looking for a Wellington‑based Project Manager to lead digital transformation initiatives for public sector and enterprise clients. You will own end‑to‑end delivery, from planning and execution to client engagement and commercial performance, ensuring projects are delivered with clarity, control, and confidence.

Key responsibilities

• Take full ownership of project delivery from initiation through completion.
• Coordinate cross‑functional teams (Delivery, QA, Engineering, Client) for seamless execution.
• Oversee resource planning, budgeting, and financial forecasting, including SOW tracking and PSA updates.
• Partner with public sector clients, managing expectations across multiple stakeholders and governance layers.
• Identify and manage risks early in the project lifecycle.
• Ensure alignment with NZ public sector standards, governance, reporting, and accountability.
• Provide clear, structured updates to steering committees and senior leadership.
• Foster a collaborative, respectful team environment and step in to facilitate workshops or resolve blockers as needed.

Required profile

• At least 5 years of experience in project management or digital delivery within a consulting or technology environment.
• Proven experience delivering IT or digital projects end‑to‑end.
• Hands‑on experience or strong exposure to public sector or government settings.
• Strong understanding of governance, compliance, and stakeholder engagement.
• Excellent coordination and communication skills with a servant‑leadership mindset.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, or related field (PMP or Agile certification advantageous).
