Product Manager

About the role

Join Kathmandu’s Product Team in Christchurch and lead the strategy and development of a product category that inspires outdoor adventure. You will own the end‑to‑end lifecycle, ensuring each range aligns with the brand, meets customer needs, and drives commercial success.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute category product strategy.
• Create seasonal product briefs and guide cross‑functional teams through design, development, and production.
• Manage the full product lifecycle, meeting quality, timeline, and margin targets.
• Analyse trends, consumer insights, and feedback to identify opportunities.
• Develop go‑to‑market plans and present seasonal ranges to stakeholders.
• Approve marketing collateral to ensure brand and product alignment.

Required profile

• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Strong attention to detail and a customer‑centric mindset.
• Creative, innovative outlook with a forward‑thinking approach.
• Analytical capability to interpret data and drive decisions.
• Willingness to travel internationally when required.
• 2–3 years of experience in product management, merchandising, or a related field.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems (bonus).
