Process Worker – Morning Shift

About the role

Hellers Limited is seeking reliable process workers for its Wiri food manufacturing plant. The role is a full‑time morning shift starting at 6:00 am, Monday to Friday, focused on producing bacon, ham and smallgoods while maintaining high food‑safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate production line equipment and handle product throughout the manufacturing process.
• Lift and move heavy items safely using proper techniques.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment in accordance with HACCP guidelines.
• Work in a cold production floor and stand for the duration of the shift.
• Monitor product quality and report any deviations.
• Assist with overtime periods during peak seasons.

Required profile

• Good level of physical fitness and ability to stand for long periods.
• Strong hand‑eye coordination and manual dexterity.
• Attention to detail and basic numeracy/literacy.
• Flexibility to work overtime and adapt to shift requirements.
• Reliable transport to the Wiri site.
• Legal right to work in New Zealand and willingness to undergo pre‑employment drug testing.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of HACCP food‑safety principles.
• Understanding of basic food‑safety practices.
