People & Culture Advisor

About the role

We are seeking a People & Culture Advisor to join our Safety, People & Culture team at our Dunsandel site. This newly created position offers the chance to work closely with senior HR Business Partners and business leaders, providing practical HR support across the employee lifecycle and managing end‑to‑end recruitment.

Key responsibilities

• Build trusted relationships at all levels and act as an advisor on People & Culture matters.
• Provide guidance on employee relations and support leaders in navigating people issues.
• Deliver core HR processes, contribute to onboarding and employee experience initiatives.
• Assist HR Business Partners with workforce planning, organisational development, engagement and change activities.
• Manage end‑to‑end recruitment, ensuring a positive candidate experience and quality hires.
• Facilitate training sessions and workshops to develop leader capability.
• Ensure compliance with New Zealand legislation, internal policies and accurate employee documentation.

Required profile

• Solid foundation in HR advisory and recruitment, preferably in a fast‑paced environment.
• Ability to balance competing priorities while maintaining high organisation and attention to detail.
• Strong communicator who can coach, influence and constructively challenge while remaining approachable.
• Motivation to make a genuine difference to people and the wider business.

Required skills

• Experience managing end‑to‑end recruitment.
• Sound knowledge of employment legislation and HR principles.
• Comfortable facilitating conversations, training sessions or workshops.
