Organisational Development Consultant

About the role

The Organisational Development (OD) team at the University of Auckland is expanding its capability agenda to strengthen performance and workforce sustainability. As an OD Consultant you will translate strategy into impactful initiatives, working closely with OD Managers and a wide range of stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to the design and delivery of organisational development and capability initiatives.
• Conduct needs analysis and diagnostic work to shape appropriate solutions.
• Facilitate workshops, learning sessions and group development activities for diverse audiences.
• Scope, plan and deliver projects or workstreams, ensuring clear objectives, timelines and outcomes.
• Collaborate with OD Managers and Advisors to align initiatives and ensure effective implementation.
• Adapt delivery approaches to suit different stakeholder contexts and requirements.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of OD practices and delivery methods.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an organisational development practitioner with a strong delivery record.
• Demonstrated facilitation expertise and ability to engage diverse stakeholder groups.
• Comfortable working in complex organisational settings and able to assess needs, structure work and deliver outcomes within defined parameters.

What we offer

• Full‑time position (37.5 hours per week).
• Salary range $87,000 – $118,000 NZD, dependent on skills and experience.
