National Sales Manager – Grocery

About the role

DB Breweries, part of the global Heineken family, is seeking a National Sales Manager – Grocery to lead its grocery channel across New Zealand. Reporting to the Executive Leadership Team, you will own the grocery P&L, shape strategy and drive profitable growth through strong retailer partnerships.

Key responsibilities

• Own the total Grocery P&L, delivering revenue growth, margin and ROI.
• Develop and execute a channel strategy aligned with business priorities and customer needs.
• Lead national negotiations, joint business plans and strategic initiatives with major grocery retailers.
• Drive excellence in ranging, pricing, promotions and innovation execution.
• Lead, coach and develop a high‑performing Head Office KAM team.
• Participate in the Sales Leadership Team to align cross‑functional priorities.

Required profile

• Significant senior commercial experience in FMCG grocery with a proven track record across major retailers.
• Demonstrated ownership of a large, complex P&L at a national or channel level.
• Proven ability to lead and develop high‑performing key‑account management teams.
• Strong experience in national negotiations, joint business planning and strategic customer management.
• Resilience and agility to lead through change, pricing pressure and competitive environments.
