Lecturer / Senior Lecturer Psychology (Registered)

About the role

Auckland University of Technology (AUT) is seeking a registered psychologist to join its Department of Psychology and Neuroscience as a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer. This permanent, full‑time position is based on the North Campus in Auckland and involves teaching, professional training, research and service.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate psychology courses, including professional training pathways.
• Supervise Honours, Masters and Doctoral students and provide clinical supervision for intern psychologists and psychology assistants.
• Contribute to curriculum development that aligns with Te Tiriti‑honouring principles.
• Engage in research activities that enhance the department’s research culture.
• Participate in departmental service and community outreach.

Required profile

• Registered psychologist in Aotearoa New Zealand.
• Doctorate in psychology (or undertaking/intending doctoral study); candidates near completion of a postgraduate qualification may be considered for Lecturer level.
• Demonstrated excellence in teaching, supervision and research.
• Commitment to advancing a Te Tiriti‑honouring curriculum.
