Lecturer / Senior Lecturer – Occupational Science & Therapy

About the role

Auckland University of Technology is seeking a permanent, full‑time Lecturer or Senior Lecturer to join its School of Allied Health. The position is based in Akoranga, North Shore Auckland and focuses on teaching, research and service within Occupational Science and Therapy.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct research that advances occupational therapy practice and education.
• Deliver and develop innovative teaching for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
• Contribute to curriculum design, integrating cultural safety and contemporary clinical practice.
• Support student learning in both classroom and clinical environments.
• Participate in departmental initiatives that promote equity and excellence in healthcare education.

Required profile

• Demonstrated expertise in Occupational Science and/or Occupational Therapy.
• Experience in teaching and research within the discipline.
• Commitment to culturally safe and inclusive education.

Required skills

• Proficiency with digital teaching resources and platforms.
