Head of Financial Operations

About the role

EROAD is looking for an experienced Head of Financial Operations to own the integrity, control and delivery of core finance processes across New Zealand, Australia, the Philippines and North America. This senior leadership position ensures accurate, audit‑ready reporting and drives operational excellence in a multi‑entity SaaS and hardware environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end month‑end, half‑year and year‑end close processes across multiple regions.
• Ensure financial reporting is accurate, complete and compliant with IFRS.
• Own balance‑sheet governance, including reconciliations and key accounting judgments.
• Act as operational lead for internal and external audit processes and remediate findings.
• Maintain a strong internal‑control environment and drive continuous improvement.
• Oversee revenue operations and ensure compliance with IFRS 15.
• Standardise finance processes and progress toward a continuous‑close environment.
• Lead finance systems and process‑improvement initiatives in partnership with IT and Enterprise Systems.
• Reduce operational risk through automation, documentation and scalable process design.
• Develop, coach and manage a high‑performing finance operations team.

Required profile

• Senior finance leader with extensive experience in financial control and audit.
• Proven track record managing multi‑currency, multi‑entity environments, preferably in SaaS or technology.
• Strong leadership capability with a continuous‑improvement mindset.
• Ability to deliver accurate, timely and reliable financial reporting across regions.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of IFRS and IFRS 15.
• Experience with ERP or finance systems implementation and optimisation.
• Expertise in financial reporting, balance‑sheet governance and audit processes.
• Automation and process‑design skills to reduce operational risk.
