Group Business Director (Media)

About the role

We are looking for a Group Business Director (Media) to lead our most valued client partnerships and shape strategic growth across the agency’s media portfolio. Based in Auckland, you will translate media strategy into tangible business impact and drive performance in a fast‑paced, complex environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and nurture senior client relationships, ensuring delivery of high‑impact media solutions.
• Develop, implement and optimise media strategies that align with client business objectives.
• Drive revenue growth and profitability across the media portfolio.
• Mentor, empower and lead cross‑functional teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, agility and innovation.
• Streamline processes, identify fresh opportunities and keep clients ahead of industry trends.
• Monitor performance metrics and report on results to senior stakeholders.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience within a media agency or similar environment.
• Strong commercial instinct with a track record of delivering measurable business results.
• Deep understanding of the full media landscape and ability to connect strategy to business outcomes.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to inspire, develop and elevate teams in a dynamic setting.
