Grain Administrator (12-month Fixed Term)

About the role

We are seeking a Grain Administrator to join our Grain team in Ashburton on a 12‑month fixed‑term basis. You will provide essential administrative support to keep our grain trading operations running smoothly, ensuring accurate processing, documentation and customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Process grain transactions, coordinate logistics and monitor inventory levels.
• Prepare, review and maintain grain contracts, ensuring completeness and compliance.
• Update and manage records in business systems and databases, including contract and sample data.
• Produce regular operational reports and assist with data analysis as required.
• Respond to customer enquiries promptly, delivering professional service and follow‑up.

Required profile

• Proven experience in an administrative role, preferably within an agricultural or trading environment.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a high‑volume setting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a customer‑focused attitude.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience using databases and business management systems.
