General Manager – Global Sales

About the role

Zentera Wool Company is seeking a General Manager – Global Sales to lead its worldwide growth agenda for premium wool fibre. Based in Christchurch, New Zealand, this senior executive will shape demand across international B2B markets and build lasting partnerships with leading brands and supply‑chain partners.

Key responsibilities

• Set and execute the global sales strategy for branded fibre, identifying priority markets, segments and high‑value opportunities.
• Develop new partners, pathways and growth models, leading engagement with brands and supply‑chain partners to generate commercially viable demand.
• Coordinate cross‑functional input to turn opportunities into executable contracts and convert complex, multi‑stakeholder deals with speed and clarity.
• Retain and grow existing branded contracts and priority accounts, strengthening long‑term partnerships.
• Build a high‑performing global sales culture grounded in accountability, ownership and commercial discipline, while developing capability in strategic selling, pipeline management and conversion.

Required profile

• Commercially astute and strategically minded sales leader with credibility to build global B2B demand.
• Significant experience in senior B2B sales, business development or growth leadership roles.
• Proven track record of building and converting demand in international markets, preferably within textile, apparel or adjacent value‑chain sectors.
• Knowledge of wool and the natural fibre sector with ability to translate product value into commercial opportunity.
• Highly developed commercial judgement, strategic account management and negotiation capability.
• Demonstrated people‑leadership experience, capable of building capability and inspiring performance.
• Strong relationship skills and experience managing complex, multi‑stakeholder opportunities across the value chain.
• Experience in wool, fibre, textile or apparel sectors is highly regarded.
