Field Service Supervisor – Heavy Vehicle Equipment

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Field Service Supervisor to lead our Auckland branch’s off‑site heavy vehicle equipment repairs and maintenance. You will coordinate daily field activities, mentor technicians, and ensure safety and quality standards are met across the Pacific Islands.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day field service operations for the Auckland branch.
• Plan, schedule and allocate all field service repair events.
• Lead, mentor and coach field service technicians, remotely supervise repairs and sign off on work.
• Track and measure technician productivity and performance.
• Build and maintain relationships with customers and suppliers.
• Provide technical support to staff and remote technicians.
• Maintain a safe workplace in line with OH&S requirements, conduct Job Safety Observations and review JSA’s.
• Perform quality checks and identify continuous‑improvement opportunities.
• Oversee housekeeping, workflow and traffic management on site.
• Coordinate tooling, equipment and communication with offshore technicians across the Pacific Islands.

Required profile

• Proven supervisory or leadership experience with a strong technical background, preferably in heavy diesel.
• Significant workshop experience with strong people‑management skills.
• Heavy vehicle qualification and exposure to mining environments (highly desirable).
• Motivation to develop a high‑performing, safety‑focused team and deliver exceptional customer service.
