Cleaner (Facilities Operator) – Public Spaces

About the role

Green by Nature is seeking a motivated Cleaner (Facilities Operator) to help maintain the parks, playgrounds and public spaces of the Queenstown Lakes District. Reporting to the team manager, you will work outdoors in a physically active role, ensuring that public amenities are clean, safe and welcoming for residents and visitors.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and dispose of rubbish from parks, playgrounds and other public areas.
• Clean and maintain public amenities such as barbeques, bus stops and outdoor furniture.
• Clean and service designated public bathrooms across the district.
• Perform general maintenance tasks to keep facilities in good condition.
• Follow health and safety procedures and company policies at all times.

Required profile

• Full, clean driver’s licence with the ability to operate a manual vehicle.
• Good level of fitness for outdoor, physical work.
• High health and safety awareness and commitment to company policies.
• Strong work ethic, self‑motivation and ability to work well within a team.
• Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential.
