Cleaner – Commercial Cleaning Position

About the role

Millennium Services Group is looking for enthusiastic and reliable cleaners to join its team in Shirley, Christchurch. The role is fast‑paced and focuses on delivering high‑standard cleaning for commercial clients, ensuring spaces are welcoming and spotless.

Key responsibilities

• Perform general cleaning duties to a high standard
• Spot clean furnishings and dust all hard surfaces
• Sweep and mop floors
• Clean toilets and collect rubbish
• Clean internal and external glass surfaces
• Maintain cleanliness of all areas throughout the shift

Required profile

• Previous cleaning experience in a commercial setting (advantageous)
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and reliable punctuality
• Good understanding of Work Health and Safety standards
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including public holidays
• Must be 18+ and have valid work rights in New Zealand
• English speaking and comprehension skills

Required skills

• Operation of floor‑care equipment such as scrubbers, buffers, or sweepers
