Class 4/5 Driver & Operator – Civil Construction

About the role

SouthRoads is seeking reliable Class 4/5 drivers and machine operators to join its civil construction crew in Invercargill. The position offers guaranteed 40‑hour weeks, overtime rates and a supportive team environment.

Key responsibilities

• Operate Class 4 or 5 vehicles safely on construction sites.
• Run civil construction equipment and perform labour tasks as required.
• Collaborate with crew members to complete projects on schedule.
• Adhere to safety protocols and complete pre‑employment medical and drug tests.
• Maintain equipment cleanliness and report any issues.

Required profile

• Experience in civil construction, labouring, or machine operation.
• Clean, valid Class 4 or 5 driver licence.
• Strong work ethic, good attitude and clear communication.
• Willingness to learn, up‑skill and stay with the company long‑term.
