About the role
Join the culinary team at InterContinental Wellington, a premier five‑star hotel located on the waterfront. As a Chef de Partie you will deliver innovative and authentic dishes while upholding the hotel’s high standards of quality and service.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare, cook, and present food in line with portion and quality standards.
- Control food usage to minimise waste and ensure cost efficiency.
- Maintain a clean, safe and tidy work environment.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen, front‑of‑house and other departments.
Required profile
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a professional kitchen.
- Ability to stay calm under pressure with strong time‑management skills.
- Attention to detail and a sense of urgency.
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
Required skills
- Food preparation and cooking techniques.
- Portion control and waste management.
- Food safety and hygiene practices.
- Team communication across kitchen and front‑of‑house.
