Business Development Manager – Builder (Auckland)

About the role

Fisher & Paykel Appliances, a leading distributor of premium appliance brands in New Zealand, is seeking a driven Business Development Manager focused on the builder market. Based in Auckland, you will play a pivotal role in expanding the footprint of both Fisher & Paykel and Haier brands among developers, builders, and authorised business distributors.

Key responsibilities

• Prospect, identify and secure new business opportunities within the builder and developer sectors while nurturing existing customer relationships.
• Lead the planning and execution of the builder strategy, aligning with global growth priorities.
• Develop integrated demand‑generation strategies to increase market share and commercial sales.
• Partner with developers, builders and ABDs to deliver seamless, brand‑aligned experiences that convert quotes into placements.
• Attend industry events, conduct cold calls and network to expand market reach.
• Report sales performance regularly to local and global market groups.
• Advocate for customers internally, ensuring cross‑functional collaboration.
• Collaborate with the General Manager – Builder and peers to achieve ambitious growth targets.

Required profile

• Strategic and results‑oriented mindset with a strong commercial acumen.
• Proven experience in business development or sales within the construction, builder or related sectors.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Ability to work independently and influence market direction.
