Assistant Tax Accountant (6‑month Fixed‑Term)

About the role

This 6‑month fixed‑term position offers a hands‑on entry point into tax within a large, purpose‑driven organisation. As an Assistant Tax Accountant you will work within a supportive tax and finance team, gaining practical experience across the full tax compliance and reporting lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and lodge monthly GST and PAYE returns.
• Assist with FBT, provisional tax and annual income tax calculations.
• Support the preparation of tax schedules and compliance documentation.
• Collaborate with internal finance teams and external stakeholders, including Inland Revenue.
• Review work for accuracy under guidance from senior tax professionals.
