About the role
Star Group is looking for five enthusiastic Assistant Business Leaders to join its Wellington network. You will help drive daily operations, uphold service standards, and support the Head Chef in delivering a memorable hospitality experience.
Key responsibilities
- Complete daily cash‑ups and manage opening/closing checklists.
- Monitor and report Health & Safety compliance, hazards, and incidents.
- Handle customer complaints and escalate when necessary.
- Collaborate with the Head Chef to ensure menu compliance and accurate costings.
- Delegate tasks, coach, and train both back‑of‑house and front‑of‑house staff.
Required profile
- Minimum two years of experience in a management position within a busy hospitality environment.
- Proven ability to work flexible hours across a 7‑day roster, including weekends and late nights.
- Strong focus on delivering consistent, high‑quality service.
Required skills
- Cash handling and reconciliation.
- Health & Safety compliance procedures.
- Menu costing and compliance awareness.
What we offer
- Competitive hourly rate ranging from $27.60 to $34.20.
